VOCABULARY FROM THE BOOK

Chapter 1:
Cobblestone: A stone used in paving.
Unfold: To be spread or opened out.

Chapter 2:
Bow: To bend the knee or body, or to incline the head, so as to show respect or greeting.
Frown: To wrinnkle the forehead, such as when one is displeased or in deep thought.
Mere: Being nothing more than what is specified; minor or unimportant.

Chapter 3:
Blaze: A bright flame or fire.
Dim: Not bright.
Gasp: A sudden, short intake of breath, as in shock or surprise.
Mist: A mass of tiny drops of water, resembling fog.
Rehearsal: A session of exercise, drill, or practice, or performance, in preparation for a public performance, ceremony, etc.
Vessel: A ship or boat.
